The conference program will feature scientific tracks, consumer sessions, workshops and forums covering a wide range of topics related to Human Rights, Prevention, and Optimising Management & Integrated Care. For this, we are working to assemble an outstanding faculty with deep involvement in SBH care and prevention from around the world along with relevant partners in the public-private-civil sector.

As the finale and tribute to the amazing families and persons with SBH, there will be a fundraising Gala Dinner designated as an ‘An Evening of Stars and Strides’ to celebrate the achievements and resilience of individuals living with SBH. This event promises an unforgettable evening of cultural performances, inspiring speeches and will serve as a platform to acknowledge talent and outstanding achievements by SBH individuals who have excelled in face of challenges.

Moreover, this conference will coincide with the World Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Day on October 26th, which is the annual international day dedicated to fostering support for individuals impacted by this condition whilst celebrating their contributions and achievements in all areas of life.

The local organisers of this event, the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Malaysia (SIBIAM) is an association that has tirelessly served the SBH community in Malaysia for more than 17 years. Over the years SIBIAM has formed strategic partnerships with the Rotary Club Damansara and the District Action Group for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (DASH) a special initiative within the Rotary network to carry out its activities.

Therefore, together, we look forward to providing you with an ambitious program as part of this 30th anniversary International Conference on Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus in the beautiful city of Petaling Jaya, Selangor taking place from October 24th to 26th, 2024.
